the door

this is not a memoir, and it is not a self-help book, and it is not an astrology book. it is a lived laboratory. it is what happens when a black woman puts her own life on the table and cross-examines it with the oldest symbolic systems we have and the newest technology we have, out loud, without sanding off the mess. i am not reporting from above the story. i am still inside it.

everything in here turns on one sentence. people are the door and the test. the same closeness that has blessed my life is the same closeness that has cost me. the jobs, the housing, the rooms, the invitations, the lovers, the clients, the community, they came through people. the betrayals, the sabotage, the jealousy, the restarts, they came through people too. so the answer was never going to be to stop trusting. the answer is to understand the door.

that is what trust architecture is. not a wall. a door. a door has a frame, a threshold, a lock, a welcome mat, and a key. the question is never only who do i keep out. the question is what has this person actually shown me, and how far into the house does that earn them. access is the threshold. betrayal is the price of a key handed over too early. the porch was a room i built with a door on purpose. brazil is the doorstep made physical.

i am telling this through the receipts. every time you see the receipt in these pages, that is the chart, the human design, the gene keys, or the lived record quietly confirming what my body already knew before i had the language. i do not use them to sound mystical. i use them the way i have always used tools. i push them, i check them against my life, and i keep only what holds.

and i am not cleaning the story up into guru language, because the proof is in the parts most people would edit out. my great-grandmother was a madam. a fight with my mother ended with a property deed in my hand. i moved to brazil and a desire for marriage, home, and a baby got loud in a body that thought that chapter was closed. i have a habit of befriending the shadow in people, the part they perform around, and watching what it does when it relaxes. those are not side stories. those are the receipts that this method came from a life, not a branding session.

so start here, at the door. everything after this is what i learned about who gets to come in.
